AW-RECORDINGS: A Rock Heartbeat New Record Label

Rock producer Nick Mayer has announced the launch of AW Recordings, a brand new record label, focused on rock and metal.

The Cherry Lips Management founder will be joining forces with Monica Zinutti, owner of Angel’s Wings Recording Studios for the new venture. Talking about the label Mayer said: “My vision for AW-Recordings is a launch pad for new talent and some ignored older ones. We intend to release on average half a dozen new bands per year every year - maybe more if we find a lot of new talent we like. Hopefully some of the artists will stick around and make numerous albums with AW-Recordings but some will go on to other things and that’s just nature of the musical beast”.

Mayer has also put out an open call to musicians who would like to be considered by the label, saying: “If you are an artist and want to be considered for AW-Recordings, contact us on our brand new official facebook page and I will personally listen”.

Zinutti, added that she hopes the label will be an outlet for “new music artists that have been shut out by the system”. She went on to say: “There is no agenda: if in three o four years' time people who I respect and who love music can turn round to me and say AW-Recordings has put out some great music, then that to me will be success”.

The new label was created through a partnership with the Angel's Wings Recording Studios, the only recording studio in Italy with two mixer Solid State Logic. Two recording rooms in a big country house of 1913 surrounded by greenery where high-tech analog and digital meet. The acoustic design of the studios was made and signed by the Texan designer John H. Brandt according to the dictates of the “non-environmental room”.

The debut of the new label is scheduled for this fall: "We are at the final details for the closing of the agreement with our first artist – said Zinutti -. I think that in the coming weeks we will announce the signing of the deal and the release date of his new album. At the moment, I just can say that AOR lovers will be delighted!”.
