Styx filed paperwork in Los Angeles Country Superior Court last week using their corporate name, Gelderdisk LTD.
The claims involve payments relate to digital downloads and ringtones created from popular tracks including Lady, The Best Of TImes, Baby and Come Sail Away.
The band’s only remaining founding member is James ‘JY’ Young alongside long-time colleague Tommy Shaw, with bassist Chuck Panozzo playing a part-time role. They’re gearing up to tour the US with REO Speedwagon and Ted Nugent. They released 15th studio album Big Bang Theory in 2005.
