Tom Petty
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have been tight-lipped about playing live shows this year, but now, the guys have announced their debut gig of 2013, and it’s a headlining performance at the fourth annual Hangout Music Fest. The festival is set to happen over three days, May 15 through 17, on the sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, Ala.

Tom Petty will be in good company at the festival, as a few others booked to rock the shore include the Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes’ side band Gov't Mule, the Roots, Phish frontman Trey Anastasio and more. Great live music on the beach? Sounds like a win-win to me!

Tickets for the Hangout Music Fest go on sale starting this Friday (Feb. 15) at 11 a.m. ET. Three-day festival passes begin at $209. For more information, head to the Hangout Music Fest website.
