The Town of Kirkland Police Department conducted a search in her room and found a 'small quantity' of heroin, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, according to the outlet. Stephanie faced possession violations for these narcotics, but TMZ reports that Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara has dismissed these misdemeanours.
The New York state Good Samaritan 911 law prohibits people who are seeking assistance for overdoses to be charged with drug possession. Apparently this invites people who are near death due to intoxication to call out for help without fear of legal ramifications.
