DEPECHE MODE PLAN NEW ALBUM AND WORLD TOUR

Depeche Mode took to a stage in Paris yesterday to announce details of their upcoming world tour and new album. They were met with a packed audience comprised of journalist and fans alike.

The first tour dates were, unfortunately for American fans, were all European cities. In addition to the dates, Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andrew Fletcher described the new ablum, with Gore likened it to a cross between Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion. "Between us, we probably have 20 songs that we recorded," said Gahan.

During the 41-minute press conference , the trio shared a short film featuring footage of their recording studio accompanied by a brand new, yet-to-be-named song.
