MOTLEY CRUE RELEASE NEW SINGLE "SEX"

Motley Crue
Mötley Crüe have made their new single “Sex” available for free for 24 hours.

The song can be streamed from Motley.com via a Reverbnation player but can be downloaded and kept by providing an e-mail address or Facebook account.

The band wrote the new song when they were together in Las Vegas for their Sin City residency in February 2012, and is being released to promote “The Tour,” their un-cryptically-titled summer co-headlining tour with KISS.

It’s the first new Mötley Crüe studio track since the 2008 album Saints of Los Angeles. That album was loosely based on The Dirt, the band’s 2001 autobiography with Neil Strauss.

“It sounds very much like it’s off of the first record,” Nikki Sixx told VH1 Radio Network’s Dave Basner of the new single. “And that was definitely on purpose. I’ve been writing very simple riffs for the last year and focusing on how these riffs would work for Vince, basically, and took it in the studio with Tommy and Mick and the thing just came alive.”

Sixx has indicated via Twitter that Mötley Crüe plans to play the new song during their run with KISS.
