ZZ Top
ZZ Top fans have been patiently waiting for the Texas trio’s forthcoming album, produced by Rick Rubin.

They’ll get a huge sample of the new record when ZZ Top release a four-song EP, titled Texicali, on June 5.

The EP will include the songs “I Gotta Get Paid,” “Chartreuse,” “Over You” and “Consumption.” In addition, fans who buy the Texicali EP will receive a discount on ZZ Top’s full-length album, which does not yet have an official release date.

“We were itching to get some new music out before the full album release; making available these four tracks seems like a good way to accomplish that most expeditiously,” guitarist Billy Gibbons said in a press release (via Ultimate Classic Rock). “Dusty [Hill], Frank [Beard] and I are happy with what’s been accomplished in the studio so we figured we’d provide some hot and tasty ‘hors d’oeuvres’ before the main course is served this fall.”
