Slash has always been solid with keeping fans up to speed on his activities.

Among the projects the guitarist has on the go these days is his second solo album. Slash and his touring band - Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck, bassist Todd Kerns (Sin City Sinners, formerly of Age Of Electric), and drummer Brent Fitz (formerly of Theory Of A Deadman) – have been holed up at Barefoot Studios in LA with producer Eric Valentine getting the project together.

There’s now light at the end of the tunnel, according to Slash: "It looks like we'll be finished recording next week. Then mixing begins. It's all going on," he posted.

Naturally, there will be a tour, with Slash confirming that he’ll be one of the headliners at the Download Festival in June: “Looks like we're playing Download, Fri the 8th on the 2nd stage. We're headlining, so we can do a full set! R & Fn' R! iiiI; )',” posted Slash.

The guitar hero says tour dates are coming together and will be announced soon.
