AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has cancelled his book tour to receive surgery on his wrist.

He was set to appear at ten theatres across the US in February, supporting the release of his light-hearted title Rockers And Rollers: A Full Throttle Memoir. The spoken-word shows would also have featured Johnson singing with backup from Skid Row members Rachel Bolan and Scott Hill.

Now all dates have been called off – although the veteran frontman is still scheduled to compete in the 24-hour Daytona sports car endurance race on the last weekend in January.

Meanwhile, Lemmy was last night forced to cancel a Motorhead show in Bristol, England after sustaining an injury to his left hand.

The band were to play the sold-out date on their The World is Yours tour, supported by Anti Nowhere League and the UK Subs. A statement says: “Due to injury, Motorhead have cancelled their Colston Hall show tonight. Watch this space for returns/new date info. We are working to try to reschedule… We’ll let you know when we know what will happen re: rescheduling/refunds.”
