THE EAGLES TO LAUNCH 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR IN 2012

Joe Walsh
The Eagles will celebrate their upcoming 40th anniversary with a retrospective tour next year, guitarist Joe Walsh tells Rolling Stone.

The band is going to freshen up their live show from past tours to give fans something they haven’t quite seen before: "Everybody's seen our show, so we have to put together something new," says Walsh. "We've been archiving so much stuff from the band's early days, concert footage and interviews and stuff. Those will be the visuals to go along with the songs. We'll also revisit some old songs and some new stuff."

Joe says The Eagles plan to tour for four or five months in the second half of 2012. Walsh just finished work on “Analog Man,” his first solo album since 1992, which he hopes to release in February or March; the guitarist is also talking about trying to get a James Gang tour in before The Eagles hit the road.
