Caleb Followill
The real reason for the cancellation of the Kings of Leon tour is so frontman Caleb Followill can get help for his out of control drinking, claims US Weekly.

It has been claimed the remainder of their summer tour has been canned so Followhill can rest and recover from ‘vocal issues and exhaustion’ but US Weekly claims a source close to the band has laid the blame at the door for his boozing: “They are trying to get Caleb to go to rehab. It is mostly for alcohol,” the source says. “[That's why] they ended up cancelling the whole tour… he drinks like a fish.”

Caleb walked off stage during a recent show in Dallas after telling the crowd he was heading backstage to ‘vomit’ and ‘drink beer.’ And it is allegedly the beer which is the real reason behind the cancellation of the rest of the tour. A second source is quoted in US Weekly saying: “It’s true. Caleb’s drinking is out of control and they are trying to get him into rehab. It’s a dark demon he’s been fighting for a while.”

The official line for the reason that the show was cut short was that Caleb was suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration, however brother Jared wasn’t finished as he tweeted after the show: “Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words,” he wrote, later adding, “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”

However a third source claimed the whole band are partial to a few drinks: “They all drink, all the [bandmates]. Anyone in a band usually likes to have a few beers on the road…They have never discussed [Caleb's drinking] as a problem before.”
