CHEAP TRICK STAGE COLLAPSES IN GALE FORCE WIND

Cheap Trick
Members of Cheap Trick were shaken by not stirred when the stage they were playing on at a concert in Ottawa was hit by gale winds and blew over.

A strong gust of wind brought down the stage at the Ottawa Bluesfest on Sunday evening while Cheap Trick was performing. At least two people were hospitalized when the metal that was used to build the several stories tall stage buckled in the wind and fell to the ground.

According to onlookers, the band was "tossed off their feet" when the wind gale hit but, according to their Facebook page, they are all fine. "Everyone is okay and we are so lucky to be alive and hope that all the fans are okay too." Unfortunately, there may have been an injury among their crew as they later posted "Robin says "Fortunately the band and crew are all lucky to be alive and we'll see you down the road. And all the best to our truck driver Sandy". The windstorm caused power-outages throughout the Ottawa area.
