"Run To You", by Bryan Adams
"Run to You" is a rock song written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance for Adams' fourth studio album, Reckless.

It was the first single released from the album and is still one of Adams' most recognizable and popular songs. The song topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has appeared on all of Adams' compilation albums. The single was certified Gold in Canada in 1985.

After a tour in Asia, Adams started the recording for Reckless.Adams and Vallance started writing the song for Blue Öyster Cult. BOC asked Adams to write for them, and he wrote "Run To You" after noodling around with the intro to their biggest hit: "Don’t Fear the Reaper". But when he submitted it to the band they turned down the song, as did the band 38 Special. Bryan decided to record the song himself.

The music video was shot in London, England and later Los Angeles. Directed by Steve Barron, it was nominated for the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards in five different categories: Best Direction, Best Special Effects, Best Art Direction, Best Editing and Best Cinematography. While the song didn't win any of the awards, it has received more MTV Video Music Award nominations than any other of Adams' songs. The English actress Lysette Anthony appears in the video.
