Bass player James Johnson added: "They're sounding absolutely awesome!". Simon then explained how the band create their tracks by creating them as a three piece and layering the instrumentation up from there. He added: "Everything we do scale wise before we go into the studio is just guitar bass and drums then we work the songs up from there, decide what instrumentation to use when we make the record, but we know what kind of album we're going to make, we know how it's going to play out we know the structure of it, but it's just a case of getting it does, so we're chomping at the bit really."
The band received the Kerrang! Classic Songwriter award this week, 30 year anniversary Kerrang! Awards, and said receiving reassurance in their abilities is a good thing. James said: "It just lovely when people like your songs. Everything we do, we do ourselves and there's never any sort of outside judgement involved, so when people hear your music an like it gives us a good feeling."
