NEW ROCK RELEASES OF THE WEEK - MAY 29

"For D", White Denim
WHITE DENIM - FOR D (Downtwn Records)
With For D White Denim takes several steps forward both sonically & musically. As the band put it, '...we decided that we wanted the album to sound like a band playing music, so we resolved to tracking all of the rhythm instruments live to tape.' The result is furious and frenetic, mixing classic rock, punk, folk & blues into the perfect playlist for a summer road trip. Garage Rock

"This Is Country Music" Brad Paisley
BRAD PAISLEY - THIS IS COUNTRY MUSIC (Arista Records)
CMA Entertainer of the Year Brad Paisley has released his 9th studio album, This Is Country Music. The album's second single, 'Old Alabama (featuring Alabama),' has already raced into the Top 10 on radio airplay charts in only a few weeks. This Is Country Music marks Paisley's first all-new studio album since 2009's American Saturday Night. The 15-track collection includes 12 tracks co-written by Paisley.

The diverse and star-studded project sports an array of special guests, including Carrie Underwood (who duets on the recapturing-love tale of 'Remind Me'). Don Henley joins Paisley for 'Love Her Like She's Leavin',' while Blake Shelton is in on the fun of 'Don't Drink the Water,' and Marty Stuart, Sheryl Crow, and Carl Jackson come together to continue a Paisley tradition of including a gospel song on his albums with 'Life's Railway to Heaven.' "Valleyheart", She Wants Revenge
SHE WANTS REVENGE - VALLEYHEART (Five Seven Records)
With Valleyheart, the band's third full-length offering, She Wants Revenge has achieved the kind of dynamic catharsis every band hopes it will survive long enough to experience: rising up out of their diverse influences, She Wants Revenge has taken flight, fully realizing a sound all their own.
