FOO FIGHTERS SET FOR FIRST #1

Foo Fighters
Hot off a very public (and very rockin’) CD release party on Late Night with David Letterman, Foo Fighters are rocketing toward the top of the charts.

Billboard is reporting that prognosticators anticipate over 200,000 copies of the group’s new album, Wasting Light, will be sold by week’s end, which would send the Foos to their first career #1 on the Billboard 200.

Dave Grohl and company have previously placed five albums in the Top Ten, with In Your Honor reaching #2 in 2005 and 2002’s One by One and 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace both hitting #3.

Other albums bowing this week include Alison Krauss and Union Station’s Paper Airplane, Jessie J’s Who You Are and Paul Simon’s So Beautiful or So What.
